Hace unas semanas una amiga me introdujo las obras de Luis Cornejo artista Salvadoreño. Ella es la orgullosa dueña de una de sus obras, ” Once Upon a Time” el cuadro de la mujer vestida de Blanca Nieves.
Cornejo crea sus pinturas utilizando modelos de revistas, las fusiona con elementos de caricaturas, juegos de video y comics creando híbridos entre lo real y lo imaginario.
Estas imágenes son algunas de las pinturas que más me gustaron de el, espero un día no muy lejano tener una de sus obras en algún muro de mi casa.

Some weeks ago a friend introduced me the work of Luis Cornejo. She is the proud owner of one of his paintings “Once Upon a Time” the women with the Snow White dress.
Cornejo creates his paintings using as models pictures from magazines, fusing them with elements like cartoons, comics and video game characters in order to create hybrids between the real and the imaginary.
These images are some of the paintings I liked the most, I hope  to have one of his paintings hanging on my wall!

Después de varios meses de escuchar constantemente Video Games y Blue Jeans finalmente salió a la venta el álbum de Lana del Rey, ayer lo compré y lo escucho todo el día. Les dejo un preview del álbum a ver que les parece a los que no la han escuchado.

After constantly listening Video Games and Blue Jeans for months, Born to Die from Lana del Rey is finally out, I bought it yesterday and can´t stop listening. Here is a preview of the album for the ones that haven´t listen to the whole album, hope you like it!

El espacio interior del mes es de Gina de el blog High on Fashion, hace unos meses me topé con su blog y desde ese entonces lo visito con frecuencia, en su blog podemos ver la moda desde su punto de vista y outfits que arma con mucha naturalidad y buen gusto. Me gustó tanto su blog que me puse en contacto con ella para que fuera parte de El espacio interior del mes y nos contara un poco sobre moda, sus gustos, la decoración de su estudio y que la motivó para empezar High on Fashion.

¿Por qué decidiste empezar un blog? La idea de tener un blog rondó en mi mente durante mucho tiempo, de alguna forma sentía que era la manera más divertida, libre y visual de compartir lo que me apasiona que es la moda. Siempre le temí un poco a la idea porque sabía que requería tiempo y dedicación. Hace dos años entré a trabajar a una revista y mis compañeras fueron las que me dieron el último empujón  y la confianza que necesitaba para hacerlo.

¿Qué ha sido lo mejor de empezar con High on Fashion? Es difícil pensar en sólo una cosa positiva porque el blog en general me ha dado satisfacciones muy grandes; simplemente con saber que del otro lado del mundo hay gente que me lee ya me dibuja una sonrisa. He conocido mucha gente que comparte los mismos intereses que yo. Me ha permitido explotar mi creatividad y me ha abierto oportunidades de trabajo. Estoy muy contenta porque a pesar de que el blog apenas va a cumplir un año ha sido muy bien recibido y me ha abierto muchas puertas.

Si te pudieras definir en 4 palabras, ¿cuáles serian? Perfeccionista, intensa, alegre y perseverante.

 ¿Cómo crees que se ve reflejado tu forma de vestir con el interior de tú estudio? Creo que la decoración de mi estudio es un tanto romántica aunque la verdad yo no soy muy romántica pero me identifico con la libertad que expresa.  Es un lugar en el que disfruto estar además que tiene la facilidad de inspirarme por si solo; cuidé todos los detalles y es un espacio muy mío.

¿Piezas claves en un guardarropa? Es difícil nombrar ciertas prendas, pero en mi closet lo que no faltar son pantalones negros de piel, jeans de colores, sacos de diferentes telas y texturas,  blusas de seda, una buena bolsa…. y por supuesto ¡muchos zapatos!

¿Piezas claves en un interior? Depende del interior pero creo que las piezas claves son aquellas que te hacen sentir cómoda y que le dan identidad a ese espacio… que lo hacen único. En mi caso, las velas, la presencia de color, las texturas (últimamente me encantan los tapices) y un sillón son cosas que no pueden faltar.

Sabemos que te encantan los zapatos, en tú cuenta de twitter @high_onfashion subes fotos de ellos, ¿empiezas a armar tus outfits en base a los zapatos? o ¿a qué prenda? ¡Sí! Amo los zapatos y tengo una severísima adicción a ellos. Casi siempre empiezo pensando qué par quiero usar ese día y lo voy armando todo en base a eso.  Hay días en los que traigo antojo de usar cierta falda, blusa o cualquier otra prenda en particular y entonces la tomo como base.

4 Diseñadores favoritos Karl Lagerfeld, Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Jacobs, Stella Mc Cartney, Miuccia Prada (Puse 5 porque no puedo quitar a ninguno… )

¿Qué te inspira a la hora de vestir? Encuentro la inspiración en muchas cosas, a veces simplemente en la calle encuentro personas con ciertos accesorios o prendas que me hacen pensar en looks totalmente distintos pero que involucran algo que les vi puesto. Las revistas, los colores, texturas y por supuesto los zapatos son la inspiración perfecta para armar mis atuendos.

 ¿Cual es tú ciudad/lugar favorito? Me encanta vivir en la Ciudad de México, de verdad es una ciudad increíble y tienes de todo, pero obviamente New York y Paris son mi fascinación.

 ¿Comida favorita? ¡Uy! Los postres en general (más los de chocolate)… me envenenas con azúcar. Aunque creo que mínimo dos veces por semana como sushi.

The Interior Space of the Month is Gina from High on Fashion blog, some months ago I ran into her blog and since then I am a frequent visitor, her blog shows fashion from her point of view and outfits she creates with such grace and good taste. I liked her blog so much that I contacted her so that she could be The Interior Space of the Month ,I asked some questions so she could tell us more about her likes, her studio decoration and what made her start High on Fashion.

 Why did you decided to start a blog? The idea of having a blog ran in my mind for a long time, in a certain way I felt it was the most visual and free way of sharing my passion, fashion. I was a bit scared because I knew it requires time and dedication. Two years ago I started working for a magazine and my coworkers pushed me and gave me the confidence I needed to do it.

 What has been the best thing of  High on Fashion: It´s hard to think of just one positive thing because the blog in general has given me great satisfactions, just to know that people from around the world reads my blog draws a smile on my face.

Describe yourself in 4 words: Perfectionist, intense, persevering and happy

How does your way of dressing reflect in the interior of your studio? I think the decoration of the studio is quite romantic even though I am not romantic, I identify with the freedom it transmits. It´s a place in which I enjoy spending time in, and it invites me to get inspired, I took care of every detail and it´s a place of my own.

Which are key pieces for a wardrobe? It´s hard to mention some pieces, but a must in my closet are leather pants, jeans in a variety of colors, blazers with different fabrics and textures, silk blouses, a good purse… and of course lots of shoes!

Key pieces for an interior? It depends but I think that the key pieces are those that makes you feel comfortable and give an identity to that space… what makes it unique. In my case, candles, the presence of color, texture (lately I´ve been loving wallpaper) an armchair are must-haves.

We know you love shoes, on your twitter account @high_onfashion you upload a daily picture of them. Are your outfits based on the shoes you are going to wear or on which piece? Yes! I love shoes and I have a severe addiction. Most of the time I start thinking what pair I want to use that day and I begin making my outfit based on them. Some days I am in the mood of wearing a skirt, blouse or any other piece in particular and then I take them as the base of my outfit.

Name 4 of your favorite designers: Karl Lagerfeld Yves Saint Laurent Marc Jacobs Stella Mc Cartney Miuccia Prada.(I named 5 because I can´t take any off the list)

What inspires you while getting dressed? I find inspirations in many things, sometimes on the street I find people with certain accessories or pieces that make me think of a totally different look involving something I saw someone was wearing. Magazines, colors, textures and of course shoes are the perfect inspiration to come up with outfits.

Favorite city/place: I love living in Mexico City, it is really an incredible city you have everything, but obviously I love New York and Paris.

Favorite food: Desserts in general! (Desserts involving chocolate) … you kill me with sugar. Even though I think I eat sushi two times per week.
